About Darryl Avery
Darryl Avery is a Colorado Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate completing supervised post-graduate clinical practice. He holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Colorado Christian University.
He works with adults, couples, and families from a systems-oriented and trauma-informed framework. His areas of focus include stress and anxiety, grief and loss, trauma-informed care, relationship communication and couples support, family and parenting stress, men’s emotional wellness, military and veteran transitions, and client-directed faith-sensitive counseling.
Darryl brings more than 20 years of Department of Defense leadership experience to his work with military- and veteran-connected clients, men, fathers, and people navigating high-stress environments, responsibility overload, transition, and identity strain.
When a client desires it, Darryl can thoughtfully integrate a Christian worldview while maintaining ethical, culturally responsive, and client-centered care. People from all backgrounds, beliefs, and faith traditions are welcome.

$75 per counseling session
Counseling sessions are currently $75 per session. Scheduling, payment questions, and any applicable policies are coordinated through the Care Center.

No. Clients of all religious, spiritual, and nonreligious backgrounds are welcome. Spiritually integrated or faith-informed interventions are client-directed and used only when a client expressly requests them or identifies spirituality as relevant to their counseling goals. Darryl does not initiate or impose religious beliefs, practices, or interpretations. When requested, spiritual considerations are integrated ethically and collaboratively alongside evidence-based clinical care, with respect for the client’s values, culture, autonomy, and boundaries.
